Job Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics crew, you'll be responsible for:

• Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide essential business insights
• Creating ETLs or strategies to pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table
• Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
• Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
• Partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
• Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition)
• Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues
• Mentoring colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)

• Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity
• Creativity with a user experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards
• Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root-cause business problems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau

• Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Python
