About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Support Specialist to join our team at our Columbia, South Carolina location. As a key contributor to our customer service team, you will be responsible for fielding customer inquiries, finding innovative ways to respond, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and carefully respond to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service through active listening, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed and resolved efficiently
  • Work with confidential customer information, treating it sensitively and maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Aim to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive, empathetic, and solution-focused
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear and concise information, and ensuring that their needs are met
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues, escalating complex issues as necessary
  • Utilize desktop computer systems, software applications, and other technology to manage customer interactions and resolve issues
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
  • High School Graduate or GED, with a strong foundation in mathematics, reading, and writing
  • Ability to type 25 wpm, with excellent keyboarding skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort with desktop computer systems, software applications, and other technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and implement effective resolutions
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible and adaptable approach to scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Experience working with diverse customer populations, with a strong appreciation for cultural diversity and sensitivity
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and apply knowledge in a practical setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and implement effective resolutions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
