Key Responsibilities

As a pharmacy technician or pharmacy technician apprentice at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policies and procedures
• Using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Assisting with and coaching pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers
• Modeling and providing a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products
• Resolving customer issues and answering inquiries to ensure a positive customer experience
• Developing strong relationships with most valuable customers
• Performing duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager, staff pharmacist, and store manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
• Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
• Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and operate pharmacy systems

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Previous work experience with arenaflex
• Desirable math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified pharmacy technician
