Job Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll be the technical lead for all data science-related work within the team. Your primary focus will be on Customer Data Science initiatives, which may be short-term or long-term based on business needs. You'll work closely with junior colleagues, mentor them, and implement best practices throughout the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Source Identification:

Identify the most relevant data sources, define data requirements, and perform preliminary data quality checks.

Problem Formulation:

Analyze business problems, challenge assumptions, and recommend solutions that drive business impact.

Analytical Modeling:

Develop and deploy machine learning models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and identify key metrics to measure model performance.

Model Deployment & Scaling:

Work with MLOps to deploy models to production, continuously log and track model performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Code Development & Testing:

Write code to develop and deploy solutions, create test cases, and contribute to code documentation.

Applied Business Acumen:

Evaluate business cases, influence stakeholder decision-making, and translate business needs into actionable strategies.

Model Assessment & Validation:

Identify and evaluate model assessment metrics, apply testing and tuning strategies, and ensure testing records are documented.

Data Visualization and Storytelling:

Develop compelling stories, create graphical representations of data, and communicate insights to various audiences.

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong understanding of machine learning, statistics, and data science.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in executing projects from start to finish.
• Ability to implement best practices in ML Ops, coding standards, and data quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex algorithm evaluations into simple language.
• Ability to work with junior colleagues, mentor them, and drive behavioral change.
