Key Responsibilities

• * Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (federal and state) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax regulations.
• * Provide timely and clear communication to clients regarding their tax situations and any supporting documentation required.
• * Assist clients in understanding complex tax issues, offering expert advice and solutions to minimize tax liabilities.
• * Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, policies, and regulations to ensure all returns comply with current requirements.
• * Maintain detailed records of client communications, documents, and filing statuses in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• * Work collaboratively with the team to manage workloads during peak tax seasons and ensure deadlines are met.
• * Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism, adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• * CPA certification, Enrolled Agent (EA), or other professional tax-related certifications (highly preferred).
• * Proficiency with tax preparation software such as Intuit ProConnect, Drake Tax, or similar tools.
• * Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations, both federal and state.
• * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• * Ability to handle multiple clients and meet deadlines during peak tax season.
• * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
• * Previous experience working in a tax preparation role or related field.
• Experience
• * Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or a related accounting field is required.
• * Previous remote work experience is a plus.
• * Experience in handling complex tax filings, including small businesses or self-employed individuals, is preferred.
• Working Hours

• * During tax season (typically January through April), the workload may increase, requiring additional hours to meet deadlines.
