Job Overview

The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for handling inbound telephone calls, responding to customer inquiries and problems, and providing support through various channels, including email, online chats, and video teller assistance. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently serve the needs of internal and external customers, providing timely and accurate solutions to their inquiries and problems
  • Answer inbound telephone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and gather necessary information to document and resolve customer issues
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including telephone call statistics and account information
  • Adhere to strict privacy and security protocols when handling customer information in a remote environment
  • Process telephone transfers, loan payments, and stop payment requests, and provide quotes for loan payoffs
  • Monitor and respond to email and online chat inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, products, and services, including demand deposits, savings accounts, and loan products
  • Assist customers with Internet Banking, Bill Pay, and debit card inquiries, including PIN resets and replacement card orders
  • Provide video teller assistance for ITMs, ensuring seamless and efficient customer service

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate department records and stay up-to-date with all bank products and services
  • Cross-sell and promote bank products and services to existing and prospective customers, identifying sales referral opportunities and participating in sales campaigns
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience or related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of deposits, loans, and banking products and services, with financial call center experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 360, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work from home, with a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection, meeting the minimum technical requirements of 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload and 50ms latency
  • Flexibility to work outside normal banking hours, with ability to travel to office for periodic meetings and training
