As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll work closely with finance, engineering, and leadership teams to drive business analytics and make a measurable impact.

A Day in the Life

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing strategic reports and designing User Interfaces to driving projects that support our teams and influence decision-making across the organization. You'll be part of a dynamic team of analytics professionals who are passionate about using machine learning to build automated systems and solve problems that matter to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Scope, design, and build database structure and schema to enable ABCS team members to self-serve

• Create data pipelines using extract, transform, and load (ETL) connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the ABCS master database
• Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of arenaflex's data technologies and resources
• Pull data on an ad-hoc basis using SQL queries
• Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and analyses to enable our team to focus on solving ambiguous problems
• Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement
• Work closely with Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) teams to ensure ABCS uses globally standard metrics and definitions
• Collaborate with finance and business partners to gather data and metrics requirements

Essential Qualifications

* 5+ years of SQL experience

• 7+ years of professional or military experience
• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership

Skills and Competencies

* Strong understanding of different businesses and customer profiles, as well as the underlying analytics

• Ability to translate business requirements into analysis, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations back to the business
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
