Simplistic is seeking a dynamic Retention Marketing Enablement Lead to support our retention marketing pillar. The Retention Marketing Enablement Lead is responsible for transforming account-level data into actionable retention strategy while serving as the internal authority on Klaviyo implementation, best practices, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with Retention Strategists to analyze email and SMS performance across accounts, identify opportunities, and operationalize insights through standardized flows, documentation, and training. The Enablement Lead also owns Klaviyo system design, SOP creation, and internal enablement to ensure consistent, scalable, and high-quality retention execution across all client accounts. Additionally, we believe in transparency in compensation. Total compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $70,000 - $80,000. As a Retention Marketing Enablement Lead, this role could include: Account-Level Analysis & Strategic Support

  • Analyze email and SMS performance at the account level across retention clients
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to:
  • Flow performance (engagement, conversion, revenue contribution)
  • Campaign performance and audience saturation
  • Deliverability, list health, and engagement decay
  • Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for strategists
  • Support strategists in prioritizing testing opportunities and optimization roadmaps
  • Create standardized reporting views and benchmarks to improve consistency across accounts

Klaviyo Implementation & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for Klaviyo across email and SMS
  • Lead and review Klaviyo implementations including:
  • Core and advanced flows
  • Segmentation logic and profile property usage
  • Event tracking and data hygiene
  • Define and enforce Klaviyo best practices across all client accounts
  • Troubleshoot complex Klaviyo issues related to data, integrations, or performance
  • Partner with strategists during onboarding, audits, and account transitions

Enablement, Training & SOP Ownership

  • Work with the Head of Retention to develop, document, and maintain SOPs for:
  • Klaviyo flows and lifecycle frameworks
  • Implementation standards and QA processes
  • Ongoing optimization and testing workflows
  • Create internal training materials and documentation for retention team members
  • Lead enablement sessions to upskill strategists and coordinators on:
  • Klaviyo functionality
  • Data interpretation and diagnostics
  • Retention best practices
  • Act as a go-to resource for questions related to systems, data, and execution

Process & Quality Control

  • Establish standardized processes to ensure:
  • Consistent flow setup and naming conventions
  • Reliable QA prior to launches
  • Clear documentation of changes and optimizations
  • Support continuous improvement of internal workflows and delivery standards
  • Identify opportunities to streamline retention execution through templates, frameworks, and automation

Success Metrics

  • Improved consistency and quality of Klaviyo implementations across accounts
  • Increased team efficiency through clearer data insights and SOPs
  • Reduction in implementation errors and rework
  • Strong adoption of documented processes and best practices
  • Positive team feedback on enablement and support

Required Competencies

  • 3–6+ years in email, SMS, or lifecycle marketing
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Klaviyo (email + SMS)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret account-level data
  • Experience supporting or partnering with strategists or account teams
  • Comfort writing SOPs, documentation, and training materials
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical guidance
  • Highly organized with a systems-oriented mindset
