Job Overview

In this critical role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking home healthcare services, providing exceptional customer service and support via phone. As a Healthcare Customer Service Expert, you will work in a remote, high-volume call center environment, handling approximately 60-65 incoming calls per day from providers, referral sources, and patients. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting clinical and demographic information, entering data into our portal, and ensuring seamless communication with our patients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent empathy and patience when interacting with difficult callers or complex requests
  • Collect and accurately enter clinical and demographic information into our portal
  • Comply with all arenaflex policies, including HIPAA/PHI regulations
  • Strive to meet or exceed individual performance goals in areas such as Call Quality, Attendance, Adherence, and other Contact Center objectives
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry with medical terminology
  • Ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications
  • Intermediate keyboarding abilities (at least 30 WPM, data entry while active listening)
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams)
  • A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment is required to move forward in the interview process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a remote call center environment
  • Familiarity with home healthcare services and patient care
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
