Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Office Clerk/Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for handling day-to-day data entry transactions, office clerical duties, and providing administrative support to various departments. You'll work closely with our team to ensure the smooth functioning of our office, and your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Entry of daily work orders into systems

  • Assembling reports
  • Reconciling reports
  • Filing, copying, faxing, and other clerical duties
  • Maintaining excellent communication with various departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities

* Data Entry: You'll be responsible for entering daily work orders into our systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Report Assembly: You'll assemble reports, reconciling data and ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Clerical Duties: You'll perform various clerical duties, including filing, copying, and faxing, to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Communication: You'll maintain excellent communication with various departments, ensuring that all team members are informed and up-to-date on important information.
  • Other Duties: You'll perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring that the smooth functioning of our office is maintained.

Experience and Qualifications

* Organizing and prioritizing skills: You'll be responsible for prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy: You'll ensure that all data entry transactions and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
  • 1 year of data entry experience (typing at least 40 wpm) in operations or similar service environment: You'll have experience with data entry and typing, with a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • 1 year of office clerk experience: You'll have experience in an office environment, with a focus on clerical duties and administrative support.
  • Good communication skills: You'll maintain excellent communication with various departments, ensuring that all team members are informed and up-to-date on important information.
  • Experience in recycling would be helpful but not necessary: While experience in recycling is not required, it's a valuable skill that we encourage and support.

Physical Demands

* Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, or folding for the purpose of proper records development and/or management: You'll be responsible for organizing and maintaining accurate records and reports.

  • Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation: You'll work on a computer and related devices for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, or seat for long periods of time: You'll be required to sit for extended periods, with occasional bending or stooping.

Schedule

* 8 hour shift: You'll work an 8-hour shift, with opportunities for flexibility and work-life balance.

Ability to Commute/Relocate

* Chicago, IL 60608: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required): You'll be required to commute to or relocate to Chicago, IL 60608 before starting work.

Experience with Microsoft Excel

* 1 year (Preferred): While experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred, it's not required. You'll have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in this area.
