Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Military Recruitment and Advertising Data Management

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Accurately input a variety of data into databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Review data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as necessary to ensure that all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Maintain organized records of all data entries, ensuring easy retrieval and reference, and adhering to all security protocols and guidelines related to data handling and storage.
• Verify the accuracy of data by cross-referencing it with source documents and reports, and identifying and resolving discrepancies or inconsistencies in data entries.
• Assist in regular data audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data systems, and provide administrative support for data-related tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
• Work closely with analysts, researchers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate data entry, and communicate effectively with team members to clarify data entry requirements and resolve any issues.
• Participate in team meetings to stay informed about project updates and data needs, and handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or coursework in data management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of experience (1-2 years preferred) in data entry, data management, or a related administrative role.
• Proficiency in data entry software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, Access, or other database management systems).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, and good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality principles.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully complete a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) check.

Nice-to-haves

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:

• Experience working with or within the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Familiarity with JAMRS and its mission and objectives.
• Basic knowledge of military recruitment processes or advertising data.
