Healthcare Documentation Specialist - Remote Transcription Role

Job Summary: The Elite Job is seeking a Healthcare Documentation Specialist to join our remote transcription team. • * Accurately transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare providers into electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems.
• * Proofread and edit transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and industry standards.
• * Ensure all transcriptions meet regulatory and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.
• * Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify dictation and resolve discrepancies in reports.
• * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and evolving industry standards.
• * Organize and manage documentation files for easy retrieval and reference.
• * Meet daily or weekly transcription quotas while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• * Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, healthcare documentation specialist, or in a similar role.
• * Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
• * Excellent listening, typing, and grammar skills.
• * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcription and editing.
• * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and voice recognition software.
• * Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data confidentiality standards.
• * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Experience:
• * Minimum 1-3 years of experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation.
• * Prior experience working with speech recognition software is a plus.
• * Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT or RMT) is preferred but not required.
