Join the arenaflex team as an Experienced Customer Service and Sales Professional, where you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences across various departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, learning about products, and selling entire projects to meet customer needs. With a focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and teamwork, you will work closely with department supervisors and other associates to maintain a clean, safe, and shop-able environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance

  • Learn about products using arenaflex tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales growth initiatives, including lead generation, pro account sales, and sales specialist roles
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet sales targets, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or related environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products
  • Familiarity with arenaflex tools and systems
  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
