Key Responsibilities:
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
- Learn about products using arenaflex tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
- Participate in sales growth initiatives, including lead generation, pro account sales, and sales specialist roles
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet sales targets, and provide exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or related environment
- Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products
- Familiarity with arenaflex tools and systems
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
