Responsibilities and Scope

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Physician Practice, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks, including:

  • Patient Registration and Financial Obligation: Obtain all critical demographic and financial information, accurately input data into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system and other applications as needed, and obtain and/or verify documentation as required, including Consent for Treatment, Assignment of Benefits and Financial Responsibility, and Notice of Privacy Practices.
  • Communication and Call Handling: Answer and relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls, delivering routine/scripted instructions in preparation for patient's visit to the office.
  • Clerical Support Functions: Provide general clerical support functions to ensure efficient utilization of time, including scheduling meetings, patients, and appointments, maintaining calendars, and coordinating with other clinical services.
  • Cash Handling and Deposits: Collect and count cash receipts and daily deposits, ensuring balanced cash drawer daily.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the clinic, performing housekeeping duties of assigned area by routine and periodic cleaning.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

  • Driver's license and access to transportation

Preferred

• Medical clerical experience in a hospital, physician practice, clinic, nursing home, or insurance agency
