Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Chat Moderator & Community Messaging Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our community moderation team, you'll be responsible for monitoring live chat sessions, engaging with customers, and maintaining brand tone across various digital channels. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Chat Moderator & Community Messaging Assistant, your core duties will include:

Monitoring chat rooms, live sessions, or messaging threads

for appropriate behavior, ensuring that our community members adhere to our community guidelines and policies.

Responding to questions from customers, members, or site visitors

in a timely, friendly, and on-brand manner, using approved tone and templates to support customer messaging.

Flagging spam, abuse, or policy violations

using internal tools, maintaining the integrity of our online spaces and ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all users.

Reporting community trends, feedback, or flagged behavior

to internal teams, providing valuable insights that help us improve our community moderation strategies and policies.

Maintaining accurate records

of chat sessions, including user interactions, issues, and resolutions, to ensure that we can provide excellent customer support and improve our community moderation processes.

  • Typing speed: You'll need to have a typing speed of 40+ WPM to efficiently manage chat sessions.
  • English fluency: You'll need to be fluent in English to effectively communicate with our community members.
  • Availability: You'll need to be available for at least 3 weekly shifts, each lasting 4-6 hours.

Pay, Schedule & Growth Opportunities

* Hourly pay: $25-$35/hour, depending on chat quality and moderation performance.

  • Payouts: Weekly payouts via PayPal, Payoneer, or Wise.
  • Training: Paid onboarding includes brand policy, tone coaching, and safety protocols.
  • Scheduling: Flexible scheduling, allowing you to choose your shifts based on your availability and time zone.
  • Advancement path: Eligible for team lead, content flagging QA, or training assistant after 60 days.

A Sample Shift

Imagine logging in at 10 PM to monitor our social livestream chats. A user posts inappropriate content – you remove it and issue a warning. Another customer asks about a discount code – you respond with a friendly, on-brand message using the script tool. You keep conversations flowing smoothly across channels, answer 15+ questions, and wrap up at 2 AM – all without calls or camera.
