Bellisario College of Communications at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Faculty position in social media and social justice communications. This is a non-tenure track, multi-year faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The appointee will be a faculty member in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, starting in spring or fall 2024. We seek a colleague who has the knowledge and experience to teach a range of topics in our new , and across our Advertising/Public Relations curriculum including communications strategies for social justice, social justice media, digital public relations, and campaigns. Ability to teach other courses in Advertising and Public Relations will be a plus. Responsibilities for the position include teaching, student advising, and service to the university and community. Teaching will be both in-residence and online as the need arises. Education and Experience: Candidates for the position should have a record of relevant professional experience in social media communications and should possess a Masters degree. The Department of Advertising and Public Relations offers both residential and online degree programs. It is part of the Bellisario College, one of the largest accredited communications programs in the nation.
