Purpose
Texas Athletics Student Services is seeking Strategy Tutors for the Fall 2023 semester. Strategy Tutors will support student-athlete academic success by providing one-on-one academic support and monitoring the students daily academic preparation for class while teaching relevant study skills and time management strategies. The Strategy Tutor will report to the Assistant Director of Learning Services.
Responsibilities
- Assist student-athletes in developing strong study habits and the skills needed to become independent learners by providing one-on-one academic support.
- Support student-athlete learning with strategies to organize time effectively, adjust to the demands of collegiate academics and establish academic goals and objectives.
- Encourage student-athletes to use the available tools and resources, including syllabi, calendars, content tutors, and campus resources.
- Implement learning practices and techniques designed and requested by Learning Specialists.
- Complete brief written reports regarding work with student-athletes and maintain regular communications with Learning Specialists and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. As an employee of the university, if you witness or receive information about sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence or stalking that involves a current student or employee, you have a duty to promptly report the incident to the Universitys Title IX Coordinator or a Deputy Title IX Coordinator. - Current graduate students at The University of Texas at Austin must be enrolled full-time (NCAA Requirement)

- Work will be performed in-person, on campus
- Flexible between Monday-Thursday from 8 AM 9:30 PM and Friday from 8 AM 5 PM and Sunday from 5 PM 9 PM; Weekly hours vary and can be set around class schedule.
