Part-Time USPS Clerk – Flexible Hours

Role and Responsibilities: As a Part-Time USPS Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring postal operations run smoothly by supporting both customer service and back-office tasks. You will interact with customers and manage critical clerical functions.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently
- Sort, label, and route mail for delivery and distribution
- Provide customer service at the retail window, including selling postage and processing transactions
- Verify the accuracy of postage, mailing documentation, and shipping regulations
- Maintain records of incoming/outgoing mail and complete required forms accurately
- Operate standard postal equipment, including scanners, postage meters, and scales
- Assist with inventory control and restocking of supplies
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages as needed Preferred
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a mailroom, clerical, or customer service environment
- Familiarity with USPS procedures or shipping and receiving operations
