Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and accurately entering patient information into our electronic medical records system
  • Reviewing all data for completeness and accuracy, making necessary corrections
  • Ensuring all patient information is handled with utmost confidentiality and in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify any missing or incorrect information
  • Maintaining and updating patient records on a regular basis to reflect changes in their health status
  • Attending training sessions to stay current on software updates and new technology in data entry and management
  • Collaborating with other team members to streamline data entry processes and improve efficiency

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree preferred
  • Proven experience working in data entry or a similar role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software

Working Conditions

This position can be performed both off-site and on-site at our offices. Off-site positions require a stable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free work environment. On-site positions are in a professional office setting.
