Description Our client is seeking a Quantitative Engineer to support the development, migration, and enhancement of risk/statistical financial models. This role focuses on understanding existing C++ based models, migrating them to a python + Databricks cloud environment, and enabling scalable model execution against large datasets. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative and engineering skills with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders, contribute to requirements gathering, and support time-sensitive deliverables. (We are looking for a technical hands on Quantitative developer, not someone who has led teams of Quants) Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate enhance statistical and risk models. ○ (moving from C++ on-premises to Python on Databricks)
  • Analyze and understand existing C++ models. ○ (Current models are written in C++ on-premises, the right resource needs to be able to read and understand these models to be able to support)
  • Migrate models to cloud environments. ○ (on-prem -> databricks)
  • Work with large-scale datasets. ○ (100s of gigabits or more)
  • Develop and maintain database-integrated solutions.
  • Perform hands-on development across the model lifecycle. ○ Stakeholder stressed that they are looking for a hands on developer (not a manager or program manager)
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers and strategists and business users.

○ Specifically called out that this user will be interfacing with the business and an interview with them. Required Experience:

  • Strong programming in Python and C++.
  • Experience building statistical or risk models.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Prior Experience as a Quant or ML Engineer
  • Experience migrating applications or models to the cloud.
  • Hands-on software development experience.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and instructions. ○ Many developers tend to 'do it their own way', but a successful resource will detail oriented and will follow directions to a tee.
  • Self-starter mindset.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $100.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
