The Opportunity

As a Customer Service Advocate, you will be part of a talented team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for:

  • Responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Guiding and educating customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven healthcare topics
  • Contacting care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists
  • Assisting customers in navigating myuhc.com and other arenaflex websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, identifying the topic and type of assistance the customer needs

  • Help guide and educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven healthcare topics, enabling them to select the best benefit plan options and maximize the value of their health plan benefits
  • Contact care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists
  • Assist customers in navigating myuhc.com and other arenaflex websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient

Required Qualifications

* High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm PST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and/or weekends, given the business need

Preferred Qualifications

* Healthcare/insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)

  • Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)

Telecommuting Requirements

* Reside within the Pacific Time Zone

  • Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a arenaflex-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to arenaflex's Telecommuter Policy

* Hourly range: $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment
