Job title: Part-time English Professor - Continuous Pool Company: Clark College Job description: Description Clark College has an opening for part-time English department faculty in the BEECH (Basic Education, English, Communications and Humanities) unit. Primary teaching responsibilities include pre-college and college level composition, technical writing, and literature courses, depending on division needs and instructor's background. This position requires the use of a variety of instructional modalities, including both in-person and online, and extensive use of technology. This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours.   • Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles
  • Effectively use computer applications for instruction and communication where appropriate
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the mission of the College, its student population, and educational goals
  • Maintain department curriculum standards
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Master's Degree or higher in English (or related discipline).
  • Postsecondary experience teaching composition
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
