Talent Acquisition Specialist: Human Resources- 6879

About the position Responsible for effectively partnering with hiring managers to execute Talent Acquisition Strategies in direct support of program objectives. The Talent Acquisition specialist will be involved in the full life cycle recruitment process (posting, identifying, attracting, assessing, hiring and onboarding talent) with strong knowledge of the program/culture and the available talent pool for their assigned positions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute talent acquisition sourcing strategies to identify and

attract top talent for the organization for positions assigned.

  • Execute the full life cycle recruitment process from job posting through the

candidate onboarding stage.

  • Conduct recruiting strategy meetings with hiring managers to ensure an

understanding of the recruiting needs and job requirements and advise on most appropriate action to take.

  • Own the sourcing and management of candidate pools, which includes building

and maintaining talent pipelines to fill positions in a timely manner, and identifying and approaching active and passive candidates through internal and external channels, including social media

  • Screen applications, assess and select the most appropriate candidates to

present to the hiring manager based on required skill sets, qualifications and competency requirements

  • Ensuring an exceptional candidate experience for all applicants - internal

and external, as well as contributing ideas to streamline recruitment processes for hiring managers

  • Following notification from the hiring manager on selections, conduct

reference/background checks, extend formal offers of employment, and confirm start dates date based on New Hire Orientation availability

  • Act as brand ambassador attending career fairs and other recruitment events

as needed. Develop strategies for enhancing agency hosted career fairs.

  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as

assigned.

  • Additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field

preferred or 3 + years of experience as a professional recruiter.

  • Proven experience with the full cycle of the talent acquisition

process.

  • Detailed knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, as well as

benchmarks with which to measure effectiveness.

  • Able to work with internal and

external candidates as well as with all levels of leadership.

  • Self-motivated and

possesses excellent organization, planning and time management skills.

  • Ability

to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency.

  • Continuing education or seminars each year in those areas outlined for

improvement on the performance evaluation and/or follow development and improvement plan on performance evaluation.

  • Must maintain an overall fully

meets expectations rating on the annual Performance Evaluation.
