The Senior Manager, Global Trade Central Technology Management will be responsible for providing classification expertise including developing and issuing classification guidance, including regulatory interpretation, support to investigations, development, and execution of classification strategies. This position sits in the central functions and will work with each of the six Strategic Business Units.
This position can be worked remotely.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support investigations, including classification of documentation, re-classifications, when necessary, identification of root cause and corrective actions (in collaboration) of classification issues, related to Harmonized Schedule (HS) and Jurisdiction and Classification (JC), and producing the associated documentation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance or add new functionality to Collins Aerospace classification determination tool and repository (xClass), focusing on HS classification efficiencies and increasing overall classification accuracy.
- Lead monthly cross Collins classification councils to support business specific classification questions and asses business classification quality.
- Develop, issue, and socialize classification guidance, including regulatory interpretation, including development of training material where necessary.
- Develop and execute classification strategies to gain efficiencies (for time and cost savings) while maintaining and/or improving accuracy.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
- Must have US export jurisdiction and classification and Harmonized Schedule (HS) classifications experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
