  • * Review and analyze patient records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • * Prepare and submit insurance claims and billing statements to payers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • * Respond to billing inquiries from patients and healthcare providers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • * Follow up on unpaid claims, working closely with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and denials.
  • * Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • * Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve coding accuracy and billing processes.
  • * Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, insurance policies, and medical billing procedures.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • * High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical billing and coding program is preferred.
  • * Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • * Familiarity with coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is a plus.
  • * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and medical billing software.
  • * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience:
  • * No prior experience required; however, internships or clinical experience in healthcare settings will be an advantage.
  • * Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles is a plus.
  • Working Hours:
  • * Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
  • * Flexibility in hours may be considered based on business needs.
