Job description: Job Introduction:
Maximus is hiring for a Training Coordinator to support the New York Independent Assessor Program (NYIAP). The Training Coordinator will design, develop, and implement training materials in a classroom-style training environment. The Training Coordinator will work closely with the training leadership team to assess the impact of each training course to ensure trainees are successful. This position reports to the Training Supervisor.
This is a full-time, hybrid remote position located in the state of New York.
Maximus has partnered with the New York State Department of Health to establish the New York Independent Assessor Program (NYIAP) for New York State Medicaid consumers who want to receive personal care services or community-based long-term services and supports. NYIAP Nurse Assessors conduct conflict-free assessments of these individuals using the Community Health Assessment tool to determine whether they qualify for these services. Independent Practitionersphysicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistantsconduct clinical appointments to determine if the individual is medically stable to receive services in the community. The information collected from the assessment and clinical appointment is used by local Departments of Social Services, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, and Managed Long Term Care plans to develop the individuals plan of care and make determinations regarding the services the individual may receive. Education and Experience Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement training materials
- Develop training schedules (in coordination with other managers and WFM staff) based on the evaluation of the need for new staff and subcontractor personnel
- Facilitate and deliver classroom-style training on an initial and ongoing basis
- Ensure that program staff are provided with updated knowledge of the Medicaid
- Provide administrative support to training classes and team members including class rosters, attendance sheets, assessments, test logs, evaluations, etc.
- Community Based Long-Term Care Programs, community resources, and options for clients
- Conduct role-playing activities to develop interpersonal skills (e.g., teamwork and conflict management)
- Communicate operating policies and procedures that are in compliance with the contractual agreement
- Assess the impact of each training course on staff performance and contributes to training material development and updates
- Minimum 2 years of Call Center Operations or Training experience
- Skillful in navigating through current and new methods of technology to collaborate with colleagues and deliver training
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
- Adept at speaking effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of people
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- 1 year of direct training experience in a human services environment and/or with instructional design and development
- 1 year of NYIAP Project Experience
- Hands on experience with e-learning platforms
- Direct experience utilizing Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams for training
