Job Summary
We're seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling incoming telephone requests from excavators, homeowners, and facility operators, providing technical and emergency damage prevention services. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive benefits package, including a comprehensive health insurance plan, paid vacations/personal/sick time (PTO), 401(k) plan, and more.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at Nexspire, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering inbound calls and following scripted questions from callers who will be digging
- Obtaining information about the customers and their work site
- Data entering information into a ticket format
- Identifying the work site on a mapping system similar to Google Maps
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Communicating effectively and creating positive relationships with excavators, peers, and management
- Processing information quickly and accurately using outlined criteria
- Accurately reading digital maps
- Demonstrating an interest in public safety
- Understanding and applying new concepts
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a home or office environment
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to listen and problem solve effectively
- General computer skills
- Ability to adhere to a work schedule including having good attendance
- Ability to work as a team
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime based upon the business needs of the call center
- Availability to work during operating hours of the call center
- Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience working in a call center environment
- Familiarity with mapping systems and digital maps
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
