Digital Brand Designer

About the Role: TOMS is seeking a Digital Brand Designer to support and elevate DTC creative across all digital touchpoints. This role will design compelling, on-brand creative assets that drive engagement, conversion, and brand affinity across ecommerce, email, paid media, and social platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong visual storytelling with an understanding of performance-driven design. This designer will create scalable digital assets and systems that support product storytelling, improve creative velocity, and optimize customer engagement across the digital funnel. This role works cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, and DTC teams to bring campaigns, product launches, and always-on digital initiatives to life in a way that is visually compelling, brand-consistent, and optimized for digital environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce digital assets for ecommerce site, email marketing, paid media, organic social, SMS, and digital campaigns.
- Translate brand and campaign direction into digital-first creative executions.
- Design conversion-focused layouts optimized for mobile and ecommerce environments.
- Ensure assets clearly communicate product benefits and brand storytelling.
- Support both campaign storytelling and full-price product marketing initiatives.
- Translate campaign concepts into scalable digital creative systems.
- Develop modular creative assets that can scale across multiple digital placements.
- Support launch toolkits including email modules, paid social assets, and ecommerce storytelling components.
- Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and creative partners to bring cohesive narratives to life.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced retail calendar
- Contribute to the evolution of TOMS’ digital design system including reusable components, templates, and layout standards.
- Help develop scalable creative frameworks across ecommerce, email, and paid media.
- Ensure digital assets maintain consistency in typography, color systems, spacing, and hierarchy.
- Support the development of modular creative templates that increase production efficiency.
- Maintain a cohesive digital brand presence across all customer touchpoints.
- Contribute fresh ideas that enhance digital storytelling and user experience.
- Stay current on digital design trends, platform best practices, and emerging tools.
- Collaborate with DTC and marketing teams to understand how creative performs across digital channels.
- Design creative with awareness of engagement and conversion goals.
- Support creative testing and iteration where applicable.
- Apply performance insights to improve layouts, messaging hierarchy, and product storytelling.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of digital design experience (preferably in fashion, footwear, lifestyle, retail, or within a DTC ecommerce brand)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ecommerce, email, paid media, and social design work.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto layout, shared libraries, prototyping).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience contributing to or working within a design system.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first UX best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Motion design or light animation experience (After Effects)
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
- Experience with digital asset management systems.
- Understanding of creative performance across paid media platforms.

- This is a Direct Hire role with a target hourly range of $38.46/hr - $43.27/hr depending on experience, plus an annual bonus based on the company's performance
