As a Remote Legal Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our Managing Attorney and other stakeholders to provide critical support in complex litigation cases. Key Responsibilities

Perform complex legal research using a variety of resources, including LEXIS and Westlaw, to support litigation cases. Prepare draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law, under the direction of the Managing Attorney. Review documents for relevance and privilege, and assist attorneys with all phases of litigation. Act as primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Assist in trial preparation, including preparing witnesses for trial testimonies and managing courtroom presentations. Perform quality control analysis and report any issues with data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Utilize eDiscovery tools and techniques to manage electronic evidence and support litigation cases. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly in a deadline-driven environment.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have: At least 2-3 years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects. Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys. Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging. Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Leadership experience on multiple litigation support teams for trial preparation. Significant prior courtroom experience, including managing courtroom presentations and using courtroom technology. Prior experience preparing witnesses for trial testimonies. Coursework and experience in law and healthcare. Understanding of the different parts of Medicare and Medicaid, including billing systems. eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including LEXIS, Westlaw, and eDiscovery tools.
