They ensure project cost estimates are accurate, scalable, and aligned to portfolio standards, tools, and methodologies. The Senior, Estimating leverages real-world cost data, industry benchmarks, and internal systems while partnering with Strategic Planning, Construction, Facilities, Procurement, Technology, Merchant Initiatives, and external construction partners to ensure budgets are rigorously vetted and executable at scale. They bring expert judgment, clear communication, and disciplined cost insight to instill confidence in leadership throughout the project lifecycle.What You Will DoBudget Development & Cost Estimating
- Develop accurate cost estimates for programs and projects across multiple store formats and brands.
- Translate complex cost and estimating data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrate expertise in construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Provide confident, directional cost guidance to support decisions without always requiring a formal estimate.
- Leverage real-world cost data and industry benchmarks to maintain and update cost bases annually.
- Review and validate all cost inputs from internal and external partners to ensure accuracy.
- Mitigate risk and errors through detailed review, prioritization, and quality control.
- Track project costs from initial estimate through completion, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Monitor actuals versus estimates, identifying variances, trends, and potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain up-to-date cost forecasts based on scope changes, market conditions, and project progress.
- Use reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, dashboards) to communicate cost status, variances, and risk drivers.
- Partner with Construction, Finance, and Procurement to ensure cost tracking aligns across project systems, contracts, and invoices.
- Capture and document cost performance and lessons learned to continuously improve cost models, benchmarks, and future estimates.
- Maintain and enhance budget and estimating systems, including reporting, analytics, system functionality, integrations, and adoption.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external construction partners across markets.
- Contribute to Construction RFP processes, including templates and bid forms.
- Collaborate with Construction, Facilities, Procurement, Process & Programs, and Technology teams to support estimating and budgeting needs.
- Tailor estimating approaches and deliverables based on project scope, urgency, and stakeholder requirements.
- Train and support estimating processes across other functions.
- Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for estimating processes.
- Mentor peers and team members, supporting skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Influence stakeholders confidently and challenge assumptions constructively when appropriate.
- Support stretch assignments and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen estimating capabilities.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
