Network Architect
The Job You Will Perform:
- Provide consultation, design and engineering support for enterprise-wide deployment of Azure, WAN and data center technologies
- Create and support new and existing network solutions
- Work with team members to develop metrics, performance monitoring, reporting, business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Communicate Global Telecom standards to other IT teams, including Information Security, Cloud Architecture and Enterprise Architecture
- Provide cloud and network architectural support and overall direction, guidance and stewardship for projects sponsored by other IT groups
- Collaborate with network engineers to lab test, document and generate engineering templates and guidelines for repeatable rollouts
- Create architecture roadmaps and document product / technology lifecycles
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for architecture and management
- Provide technical escalation support to address immediate, complex problems
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of enterprise networking experience and ready to move to architecture
- Experience with Azure cloud networking and understanding of other cloud technologies, such as cloud network security
- Working knowledge of how to implement layer-2 and layer-3 technologies
- Solid understanding of next-generation data center and WAN technologies
- Cisco and Microsoft Azure certifications strongly favored
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
