Eligibility: To be considered, you must be a Canadian citizen, or authorized in writing to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements, and currently be residing in Canada.About the Role: As a Remote Scoop Operator with Dumas, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of remote-controlled scoop trams in an underground mining environment. This role plays a critical part in mucking, hauling, and maintaining production targets while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate remote-controlled scoop trams to move blasted rock from the face to designated areas.
- Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
- Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
- Previous experience operating scoop trams (manual or remote) in an underground mining environment.
- Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
- Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
- Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
