Our client: Our client is a respected, high-profile writer with a broad portfolio spanning publishing, media, and international engagements. With growing commitments across the UK and overseas, they are seeking their first dedicated Executive Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to shape a newly created role, working closely with a creative professional whose schedule demands precision, discretion, and thoughtful oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage a complex diary, coordinating professional and personal commitments with careful attention to detail.
- Research, plan, and deliver detailed travel itineraries.
- Act as first point of contact for external enquiries, liaising with publishers, agents, production teams, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee financial administration including invoicing, expenses, and liaison with accountants.
- Demonstrable experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant to a senior or high-profile individual.
- Strong diary and travel management experience, including complex and international scheduling.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with confidence drafting professional correspondence.
- Experience managing expenses, invoicing, and financial administration, ideally using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.
- A clear understanding of discretion and privacy management.
- Experience working within publishing, media, or creative industries.
- Confidence attending meetings and producing clear, concise minutes.
- Experience helping to shape processes within a newly established or evolving role.
- Salary: £25-35 per hour, depending on experience.
- Working pattern: Remote (UK-based), 12 hours per week, split across three mornings (9am-1pm).
- Reports to: Primary (high-profile writer).
- This role can be freelance or salaried, open to discussion, both options being explored.
