Location: Remote/Nationwide
Salary: The pay for this role is $18.00 per hour, up to 30 hours per week.
Major Giving Intern
UNICEF USA seeks a Philanthropy Intern for the Major Giving Team. The intern will work in collaboration with the Deputy Director and Major Gifts Team to support the team in engaging high net worth individuals with UNICEF’s global work and achieve fundraising goals. We are currently seeking paid interns for our cohort that will commence in the fall.
This internship would provide an opportunity to learn about
- Donor cultivation and research
- Implementing fundraising strategies
- Event planning and execution
- UNICEF programs and the field of international development
Key Responsibilities/Projects
- Coordinate communications to support outreach to major donors, new leads, and partners
- Conduct research projects on regional donor and family foundation prospects
- Participate in event planning, execution, and support the team in following up with donors
- Help brainstorm and execute ideas to support the team with engaging new leads prospects
- Assist in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on data
- Perform other assignments as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and social media platforms a plus4

- Experience in non-profit or fundraising is preferred
- Must have fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and be able to learn new systems quickly
- Interest in project management, event planning, fundraising or related field preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of children's rights and international issues, as well as a commitment to public service
- Innovation, creativity, and a team player mentality are necessary for success in this role
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
