Responsibilities

As a Property and Casualty Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fielding inbound communication: You will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilizing knowledge of personal lines insurance: You will need to have a strong understanding of personal lines insurance and be able to provide expert advice and guidance to customers.
  • Corresponding with customers and clients: You will be responsible for communicating with customers and clients via phone, email, chat, and social media.
  • Executing client service transactions: You will be responsible for executing various client service transactions, including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, and other tasks.
  • Adhering to performance metrics and quality standards: You will be expected to meet performance metrics and quality standards, and to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Active Resident Property and Casualty or Personal Lines License: You will need to have a valid license to practice as a Property and Casualty or Personal Lines insurance agent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience: You will need to have at least 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or insurance environment.
  • 1 year of call center experience: You will need to have at least 1 year of experience working in a call center environment.
  • High School diploma or GED: You will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with customers and clients.
  • Professional, articulate voice and listening skills: You will need to have a professional and articulate voice, and be able to listen effectively to customers and clients.
  • Ability to maintain member privacy: You will need to be able to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
  • Internet and research skills: You will need to have strong internet and research skills, and be able to quickly become an expert in a variety of subjects.
  • Computer savvy: You will need to be computer literate and able to resolve minor technical issues with minimal assistance.
  • Typing 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy: You will need to be able to type at a speed of 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
  • Ability to critically think through situations and solutions: You will need to be able to think critically and come up with effective solutions to customer problems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently: You will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • At ease with multi-tasking: You will need to be able to multitask and handle multiple computer applications at once while holding a conversation with a customer.
