Role Overview A telephony Clinical dietitian delivers expert nutritional guidance through HIPAA-compliant telephone or video consultations. This role supports clients in achieving their health goals by developing personalized nutrition plans and offering ongoing support remotely. Key Responsibilities · Conduct nutrition assessments via phone or video, considering medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits. · Develop and monitor individualized meal plans tailored to client needs. · Use motivational interviewing (MI), stages of change (TTM), and strengths-based counseling techniques. · Schedule and conduct follow-up calls to track progress and adjust plans. · Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. · Document all interactions in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with privacy regulations. · Educate clients on chronic disease management, weight loss, and general wellness. · Respond to client inquiries via phone, video, or secure messaging platforms. Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field. · Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) credential. · Licensure in applicable state(s), if required. · Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload. Preferred Skills · Familiarity with digital health tools (e.g., BMI calculators, glucose monitors). · Experience with elderly or chronic care populations. · Bilingual abilities (a plus for diverse client bases). · Knowledge of insurance documentation and billing for telehealth services.
