Event Brand Ambassador
Part-Time / Contract • U.S.-Based, Remote + Domestic Travel • Fee Per Event + Commission You light up at events. You walk into a conference, a trade show, or a networking room and you feel at home. You are the person who naturally starts conversations, makes real connections, and leaves people feeling like they just met someone they want to talk to again. That is not a skill you learned from a training manual. It is just who you are. What you do not love is sitting behind a desk all day with no human interaction. What you do not love is working for a company that treats events as an afterthought, sending you to a booth with no plan and no follow-through. And you definitely do not love representing something you do not believe in. At Million Dollar Author, we help professional services entrepreneurs -- attorneys, financial advisors, consultants, and B2B business owners -- write and publish the book that transforms how they grow their firm. We also build them lead generation systems that put qualified prospects directly on their calendar. We sponsor approximately 40 events per year across the country. These are not afterthoughts. Events are a key channel for meeting our ideal clients face-to-face, and we take them seriously. We need the right person to represent us with professionalism, warmth, and genuine connection. You will not be sent to events without a plan. You will have clear goals, strong materials, and a team that supports you. And when you generate leads that turn into clients, you earn from that too. What You'll Do at Events- Represent Million Dollar Author at sponsored conferences, trade shows, and networking events across the country
- Work the booth: engage attendees, start real conversations, and schedule sales appointments on the spot
- Book interested prospects directly onto a salesperson's calendar while you are still face-to-face
- Build genuine rapport with attendees, speakers, and other exhibitors
- The secret code is 1714.
- Coordinate your own travel and scheduling for assigned events
- Ensure booth setup, materials, and collateral are organized and professional every time
- Communicate on-the-ground insights back to the team in real time
- Experience working events, conferences, or trade shows in a business development, brand ambassador, or sales capacity
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable starting conversations with strangers in a professional B2B setting
- Organized and detail-oriented -- events require planning and follow-through, not just showing up
- Willing and able to travel domestically 1-3 times per month, usually 1-3 days each trip
- You understand the business owner and entrepreneur audience -- you speak their language
- Bonus: experience in B2B sales, marketing, professional services, coaching, consulting, or publishing
- You are a natural connector. You do not just collect business cards. You build real relationships that turn into conversations.
- You are a self-starter. You can manage event logistics and travel without hand-holding. You show up prepared and you handle what needs handling.
- You care about results. You want to know how many conversations turned into booked appointments, and how many of those turned into clients.
- You find events draining. This role is all about energy and connection. If working a room takes more out of you than it gives, this is not the right fit.
- You are disorganized. Events require planning and follow-through. Showing up unprepared is not an option.
- You see travel as a perk rather than a job. This is real work with real accountability. You will be measured on the leads you generate and the appointments you book.
- You will never wing it. Every event comes with a clear plan, strong materials, and defined goals. You show up knowing exactly what success looks like.
- You earn when your leads close. Fee per event attended, plus commission on sales from leads you generate. The more effective you are, the more events you get.
- All expenses covered. Travel, hotel, event costs. You focus on the work, not the logistics budget.
- Meaningful conversations. Our ideal clients are CEOs, consultants, and business owners building something real. These are conversations worth having.
- Flexible schedule. This is part-time, 1-3 events per month. Perfect if you love events but do not want to be chained to a desk the rest of the time.
- Number of qualified leads generated per event
- Deals closed from event-sourced leads
- Accountability: See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It
- Live the Golden Rule, always: Show others that you care
- All progress starts by telling the truth: Communicate candidly
- Become part of the solution
- Make the complex look easy
- Respect for others and their feelings
- Act now!
- Ask the question: "What else can I do?"
- Ask the questions: "What coaching do you have for me?" and "What can I do better?"
- Own the outcome
- Take pride in the work, for its own sake
- Reject average
- Tell us about an event you worked where you made a real impact. What did you do to make it happen? We want specifics, not generalities.
- Our philosophy is if it's not a win-win, then there's no deal! Tell us how you think this role will be a fit for you. Sell us on why we would benefit from having you on the team.
- In the subject line of the email, please include the position title and the secret code -- all other applications will be discarded. If you don't have the secret code, please do not apply.
- A video introduction is a huge bonus. We want to see the energy you bring to a room.
