A Day in the Life as a Healthcare Customer Service Representative

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, providing empathetic support and expert guidance to help them navigate the billing process. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Active listening and problem-solving to resolve patients' outstanding balances
  • Negotiating and collecting payments over the phone
  • Providing excellent customer service, even in challenging situations
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in healthcare billing and finance
  • Understanding of HIPAA and related regulations
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic nature and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Work Schedule

Our Healthcare Customer Service Representatives work a 2nd shift remote position, Monday-Friday, 1pm-10pm. This flexible schedule allows you to balance your work and personal life while making a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.
