Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing large amounts of inbound calls in a timely manner, ensuring that customers receive prompt and effective assistance.
  • Following communication "scripts" when handling different topics, maintaining consistency and accuracy in our responses.
  • Identifying customers' needs, clarifying information, researching, and providing solutions and/or alternatives to resolve their concerns.
  • Demonstrating adaptability and composure in challenging situations, skillfully changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions, providing a welcoming and supportive experience.
  • Accessing company and client resources provided to accurately handle calls, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible support.
  • Flexibility to cross-train as requested, expanding your skills and knowledge to better serve our clients.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • 1 year of previous call center or office background experience, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Excellent customer focus and adaptability to different personality types, with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to use technology effectively and productively, with a strong understanding of software applications and systems.
  • Previous remote work from home experience, with a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.
  • Quick learner and able to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Type 35 words per minute accurately, with a strong typing speed and accuracy.
  • Background check applicable with state and federal laws, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Equipment and Software Requirements

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll need to meet the following equipment and software requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater
  • Memory: 8GB on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits
  • Screen Resolution: 1280x768 or higher, dual monitors required
  • USB headset
  • No Chromebooks, netbooks, or any type of tablet (Must be a laptop or a desktop)
  • Up-to-date antivirus software must be installed on the platform and a recent scan completed (Will be checked prior to allowing login to system)
  • Firewall must be enabled (Will be checked prior to allowing login to system)

Compensation and Benefits

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll receive:

  • Starting pay: $14/hour, plus shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & weekends) and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance
  • Work hours: 9:00am-7:00pm (EST), with flexibility to work from home
  • Paid Training: typically 2 weeks from 9:00am-6:00pm Mon-Fri (EST)
  • Status: Full Time, with benefits eligibility after 60 days
