Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You will be accountable for the general coordination and handling of new prescription drug requests and reorders, including verifying benefits. Your duties will also include assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay amounts, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with financial or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment

  • Coordinate and handle new prescription drug requests and reorders, including verifying benefits
  • Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system
  • Collect and process copay amounts, obtain approvals, and resolve orders with financial or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders
  • Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve complex customer issues

Essential Qualifications

* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, and clinical terminology

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and medication management

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and web navigation
  • Strong keyboarding skills and accuracy
