Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Entry Level Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and working towards solutions that meet their needs. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as account management, negotiation, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

* Take inbound calls to answer customer questions and work towards a solution (40-50 calls per day)

  • Make outbound calls to customers to collect on past due bills (90-120+ calls per day)
  • Use various collection strategies to collect on past due bills
  • Answer customer questions regarding their bills
  • Offer options on how to pay or negotiate payment in full or set up payment arrangements
  • Manage and review accounts to identify adjustments, discrepancies, and create a request for resolution

Qualifications

* 1+ year of customer service experience

  • Proven ability to perform well with upset customers face-to-face or over the phone
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including restarting a computer, using an internet browser, Microsoft Office, and typing
  • Ability to multi-task, strong listening skills, and proven reliability/punctuality in past positions
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Essential Skills and Competencies

* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Basic computer skills, including restarting a computer, using an internet browser, Microsoft Office, and typing
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong listening skills and proven reliability/punctuality in past positions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software

  • Knowledge of collection strategies and procedures
  • Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
