Responsibilities

As a Payroll Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a range of key tasks, including:

  • Reviewing time sheets, processing wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with established payroll policies and procedures
  • Verifying hours worked and pay adjustments
  • Computing wages and deductions
  • Maintaining and updating payroll records
  • Producing, reviewing, and uploading quarterly reports for State and Government agencies
  • Paying weekly taxes
  • Managing Positive pay, Direct Deposit, and Pay Cards
  • Processing W2s

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong attention to detail and numerically skilled, with excellent data entry abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience in payroll data entry or a related field
  • Knowledge of payroll software and systems
  • Certification in payroll or a related field (e.g. CPP, FPC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
