Key Responsibilities
As a Co-op, Airport Customer Service (ACS) Ground Safety Specialist – Ergonomics, Health and Wellness, you'll be responsible for:
- Fostering a culture of safety within the Airport Customer Service division by providing support, training, accountability, and recognition
- Developing and implementing strategies to reduce the risk of employee injuries and aircraft damages
- Supporting the development of large-scale technology initiatives related to Ergonomics
- Leading and assisting Ergonomic-related investigations across the system
- Supporting day-to-day operations and management of existing programs related to Health and Wellness or Ergonomics
- Analyzing injury and behavior data using data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to draw recommendations and support actions to improve Safety Behaviors
- Managing project plans, investigations, and close-out of safety improvement initiatives using Project Management tools
- Communicating project status to stakeholders, collecting and organizing feedback, and providing regular updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and others involved in the project
- Escalating problems as necessary to ensure awareness and assistance with resolution
- Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Occupational/Industrial Safety, Biomechanics/Kinesiology, or a related field
- Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to learn, interpret, and follow a variety of laws, rules, and regulations
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and highly motivated
- Strong history of collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to travel and work non-standard hours as required
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

- Experience in a related field, such as Ergonomics, Health and Wellness, or Occupational Safety
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and Project Management tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
