Business Analyst
Prophix is a company that helps finance teams enhance their planning and reporting through its Financial Performance Platform. The Business Analyst role involves supporting clients with financial planning solutions, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with senior consultants to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of financial planning and reporting solutions for clients
- Assist with data mapping, model configuration, testing, and deployment
- Work directly with clients to understand their budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Help troubleshoot system and data issues during implementations
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and training sessions
- Provide ongoing support and respond to client questions related to business and system use
- Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver projects on time and with high quality
Skills
- A mix of experience, training, or education that helps you succeed in this role
- Accounting experience is a definite asset
- Two (2) or less years of relevant work experience
- Foundational knowledge of accounting and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Must possess strong business and entrepreneurial skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a project-based environment
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational ability is required as the candidate will be required to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Must be comfortable working in a project environment interacting with senior level executives including CFOs, VPs and other line finance staff
- Must possess a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and be familiar with the financial statement preparation process
- Comprehension of financial concepts/terminology is required
- Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
- Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
- Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches
- Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located
