Experienced Full Stack Technical Writer – Cloud Database Documentation

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced full stack technical writer to join our Cloud Databases team. As a technical writer, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation that helps customers understand and use our cloud database services. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to identify critical user journeys and create information architectures that help customers along these journeys. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to drive and prioritize technical writing and mentor and support other authors on the Cloud Databases team.

Responsibilities

* Plan, design, write, and publish technical documentation for the Cloud Database Service, including critical customer journeys, concepts, and guidelines for how customers do business.

• Work closely with PMS, engineers, UX researchers, and UI partners to identify critical user journeys and create information architectures that help customers along these journeys.
• Collaborate with Cloud Database authors to continually improve practices and deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to drive and prioritize technical writing.
• Mentor and support other authors on the Cloud Databases team.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our cloud database services and their applications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our documentation is accurate and relevant.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in technical communication or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of technical writing experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and their applications.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud products.

• Experience in a related role, creating technical documentation for a technical audience, preferably for enterprise cloud services.
• HTML or Markdown skills; Unix environment skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven communication and team skills and strong initiative.
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools and platforms.
