Job Summary
As a Data Entry Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our team's efforts to collect, analyze, and visualize data using GIS and other related tools. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Proficiency with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Creating, editing, managing, and publishing GIS feature data, both in a geodatabase environment and on the cloud
- Cartographic design and geospatial analysis methods
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Supporting the development of GIS applications and APIs
Key Responsibilities
* Create, edit, and manage GIS feature data using Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Design and publish maps using cartographic principles and geospatial analysis methods
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, including data modeling, data validation, and data quality control
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement GIS applications and APIs
- Provide technical support and training to team members on GIS software and tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in GIS and data analysis
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 2 years of relevant work experience in GIS, data analysis, or a related field
- Proficiency in Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher
- Working knowledge of Arcade and/or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and APIs
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with cloud-based GIS platforms, such as ArcGIS Online or Google Cloud
