Job Summary

As a Remote Online Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for engaging with website visitors and providing answers to their questions through live chat on various businesses' websites and social media accounts. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle incoming customer support queries through live chat on various businesses' websites and social media accounts

  • Address support inquiries from existing customers and respond to sales questions from potential new customers
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed and relevant responses to customers
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., communications, customer service, or business) preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a remote or online environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong typing skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable internet connection and a device capable of accessing social media and website chat functions (phone/tablet/laptop)
  • Ability to commit to at least 10 hours of availability per week

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in a remote or online environment

  • Familiarity with live chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
