Job Summary

As an Area Manager at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading a team of hourly workforce, ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You'll play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations, ensuring that customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. With a focus on collaboration, communication, and customer-centricity, you'll work closely with various support teams to develop plans that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve exceptional results

  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless operations
  • Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to perform tasks safely and efficiently
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, working in an environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a logistics or delivery environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a logistics or delivery environment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Familiarity with Amazon's customer service standards and expectations
  • Experience with team management software and tools, such as scheduling and performance tracking systems
