Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator – Remote Data Entry Position, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including clients, carriers, and government agencies
• Process and verify customs documentation, including import and export declarations, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of customs documentation, including compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
• Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
• Perform other duties as assigned, including data entry, filing, and administrative tasks

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, logistics, or international trade
• At least 6 months of experience in a data entry or administrative role, preferably in a logistics or transportation company
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures, including the Harmonized System (HS) and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to handle high volumes of work and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with various software systems and reference materials, including customs databases and trade agreements

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

• Experience working with customs databases and trade agreements
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and procedures
• Familiarity with freight forwarding and customs brokerage operations
• Certification in customs brokerage or a related field
• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
