Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Performing in-depth data analysis and evaluation of large financial data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
- Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving data quality issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of data
- Defining business requirements for technical development based on data analysis and evaluation
- Collaborating with client teams to identify enhancements in performance and controllership for their current data processes, and training them on the use of designed reporting and analytics tools
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including technical teams and client groups
- Communicating complex financial and technical ideas and analysis implications to a broad audience, and translating business goals into actionable analyses
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
- 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries and developing business intelligence reports using Tableau or Power BI
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to drive business insights
- Experience with Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or advanced degree in a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial markets and trends
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Certification in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
